Client: United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) administers a wide variety of programs to assist farmers and agribusiness.

The USDA delivered information to their customers by facsimile - a time consuming process that did not meet customer needs. Customers requested that information be provided via the Internet in an electronic form that could be easily incorporated into their own systems.

The USDA retained Wild-Webs to develop an easy to manage and maintain extranet application that would enable them to efficiently deliver information in an electronic format to their clients.

Wild-Webs assisted the USDA in planning the application, developing programming and document standards, database development, and site design and implementation. The online document management system developed by Wild-Webs permits the USDA to provide up-to-date information and statistics to farmers and agricultural businesses 24x7.

The application was developed with the intent to be duplicated for other USDA programs.
